Monday4:12 a.m. A bear ripped down a 6-foot fence and was getting into trash in the east 500 block of Fifth Street.

5:35 a.m. Someone who camped under the Grandview Interchange possibly had a campfire going.

Sunday12:34 a.m. Two men were refusing to get out of a taxi near College Drive and East Eighth Avenue.

11:08 p.m. A driver in a sedan was traveling in excess of 100 mph near Farmington Hill, in the 16000 block of U.S. Highway 550.

Saturday3:57 a.m. A drunken man was passed out in the lobby at La Quinta Inn & Suites, 125 Mercury Village Drive.

10:50 a.m. A man holding a sign saying “I need weed” was smoking and making obscene gestures at passers-by near 32nd Street and Main Avenue.

11:52 a.m. Several vehicles were parked in a bicycle lane near Miller Middle School, 2600 Junction St.

1 p.m. Windows were busted, and items were taken out of a vehicle at Walmart.

9:52 p.m. A drunken man was lying on the sidewalk, and he had urinated on himself in the 700 block of East Second Avenue.

Friday7:04 a.m. A deer had a blue metal bucket and handle stuck on its head near East Fourth Avenue and 31st Street.

2:51 p.m. Someone reported mail being stolen at the Parkside Terrace Townhomes, 1 East Sixth Ave.

3:21 p.m. Someone stole tips from a tip jar at the Durango Dog House, 600 Main Ave.

4:20 p.m. A 2-year-old girl ingested some kind of laundry agent in the 100 block of East Fifth Avenue.

4:39 p.m. Someone reported a possible case of sex trafficking at Schneider Park, 950 Roosa Ave.

5:39 p.m. Someone who appeared to be homeless and possibly intoxicated was directing traffic near Seventh Street and Main Avenue.

6:55 p.m. Someone was locked inside Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 55 calls Thursday through Sunday, including two assaults, two brush fires, two people who fell and needed help, a report of gas in the in the 1400 block of South Camino del Rio, a report of smoke in the 400 block of Lightner Creek Road (County Road 207), a structure fire in the 400 block of Meadowbrook Drive and five traffic crashes.
